10 Things I Wish to Tell My Future Daughter

Dear love,
- It’s okay if you can’t be strong even after trying. You’re allowed to cry and rest.
- You can say no to things you don’t feel comfortable with. It doesn’t make you a narcissist to put yourself first.
- It’s okay to feel insecure. But please never seek validation from anybody. You’re simply precious in your own way.
- Your mental and physical health should always be the main priority.
- It’s okay if you prefer blue over pink or an artist over a doctor. You are allowed to choose what makes you happy.
- It’s okay to ask for help. Being vulnerable doesn’t make you weak. But it shows that you’re willing to fix your problem.
- Grades and scores matter. But what matters most is your health. Having a bad grade doesn’t mean you would be a loser in life.
- You will never be my burden. Because we chose to have you and despite the hardship of raising a child, you’ll forever be a blessing.
- I may not be rich in wealth, but for you, I would do whatever it takes to be rich in love and affection. You would never have to look for it from anybody.
- I’d be the happiest if you grow up well. But you are not responsible for my happiness. Please don’t try to please me until you forgot about your well-being.
I may not know what the future holds, nor if I could give you a complete loving family;
I may not know if I could provide you a cozy home, or the materials you would need in life;
I may not know whatever might happen later in life. But there is one thing I know for sure.
I would surely give you the love you deserved.
